More About Me
Though Spanish-born, my childhood was split between Madrid, Dubai, and Singapore, and I now work in Boston after completing my studies at Berklee College of Music. I have grown up with with Celtic music from the north of Spain, inherited festival music from the south, studied Klezmer music from Eastern Europe, picked up distinct Middle Eastern influences, and have a diverse network of instrumentalists and musicians specialized in traditional styles. I also have significant experience with electronic music, and hold a strong love for using synthesizers and sound design in my music.

Why did I become a musician? Well, I was always a bit of an awkward kid. I never quite got social cues and subliminal messaging always went over my head, which made it very difficult to connect with people. However, I have always been greatly empathetic, and particularly adept at touching people's hearts. For me, the arts provided a space where I could speak with others on an emotional level, and it made it easier to connect with people. When I was 15, there was a terrible accident at a concert of mine that killed one of the audience members. My entire community was rattled, and for some reason in the aftermath I had an intense calling to play for them. I picked up jazz, played in rock bands and symphonic bands alike, and almost ravenously took on performance opportunities, always with the attitude of spreading positivity and healing. After some time, people who had witnessed the accident began to come up to us after shows, to tell us that our music had helped them find a way forward. I knew then that this was my calling, and that I would always write in the service of my audience.
